Paralegal Certificate Plan
Course Offerings and Strongly Recommended Schedule for Paralegal Program Students Who Plan to Start Summer Session
Students in the Post-Graduate Paralegal Certificate Program must possess a prior bachelor’s or requisite associate’s degree to take this certificate.
Paralegal required courses are available during the evening except the summer courses are 2 nights a week for 8 weeks. All courses are held on campus at Inver Hills or online with an orientation on campus or hybrid with classes every other week on campus with an orientation.

*Students need to obtain permission from the instructor to take PA 2201- Family Law at the same time as PA 1102 – Introduction to Law and Contracts
**Students are to obtain the program director’s written approval one semester in advance of registration for Paralegal Internship by attending the required internship meetings. Check the Paralegal Events page for dates and times.
It is recommended that PA 2289 (Paralegal Internship) be taken after all Paralegal Program specialty classes are completed. However, PA 2289 may be taken concurrently with other paralegal specialty classes if the program director concurs.
