Red Lake Tribal Nation Tree Planting Project

In the Fall of 2014, members of the Red Lake Tribal Nation contacted our garden coordinator, August Hoffman, about building relationships and strengthening communities with orchard projects. In June 2015,  a group of students, faculty, staff and community members traveled to the Red Lake Nation.  Working with the Red Lake Department of Natural Resources, and with the help of the Red Lake Fire Department, we planted thirty five fruit trees.  Our partnerships build communities and promote healthful foods.
